Description

Isabelle Gagnon specializes in the relationship between law and politics and leads the Chair’s scientific agenda through multiple interdisciplinary initiatives. Her research focuses on the judicialization of public policy, transformations in democratic institutions, and strategic uses of law within contemporary collective action. She is particularly interested in the conditions that encourage actors to engage judicial mechanisms in public debates. Her work combines comparative methods, qualitative inquiry, and institutional analysis to better understand emerging forms of legal governance across different national and international contexts.
