Judicialization and the Transformation of Democratic Spaces

This publication examines the effects of judicialization on contemporary forms of political participation. Drawing on comparative case studies, it analyzes the conditions under which social actors turn to law as a mode of public intervention. The work also explores the institutional consequences of these practices and their impact on the balance between political authority, legal expertise, and collective action. Particular attention is given to dynamics of legitimacy and transformations in mechanisms of representation.
